• Die Fledermaus featuring Anastasia Chatzka Designs

    American Chamber Opera’s next production in 2013 is Die Fledermaus and will be presented in collaboration with Chicago-based designer, Anastasia Chatzka! Opening night will be April 19th, 2013 at The International House at University of Chicago as part of a Global Voices Sponsorship. That performance is located at 1414 E. 59th St, Chicago IL. The following performances will be April 26th-28th at The Chicago Temple located at 77 West Washington, Chicago IL.

    We were proud to appear back on WGN News on January 16th, 2013 for our production of Madame Butterfly, set in Mombasa, Kenya and performed in English! We were then featured on NBC on February 1st for a Black History Month special.   • Madame Butterfly

    American Chamber Opera presented Madame Butterfly in collaboration with Aid for Africa to benefit educating women and children in Kenya. This version of Giacomo Puccini’s, Madame Butterfly was presented in English and staged in Mombasa, Kenya! The first performances were January 18th and 19th at the International House of the University of Chicago, and the second set of performances were February 8th-10th at The Chicago Temple. Stay tuned for an announcement on the continuation of this production in 2013!

    American Chamber Opera was proud to present the 1st annual “Fashion Of The Opera”! Everyone loves a good fashion show! How about a good show with an even better cause? American Chamber Opera & OperaModa, along with Miss Chicago 2012 and Producer Jeff Conway of NBC 5 Chicago’s 24/7 Chicago hosted a fashion fundraiser to benefit the Merit School of Music and the American Chamber Opera!

Karrah Cambry sings “Summertime” Remix at Fashion of The Opera

Fashion of the Opera, a collaboration between American Chamber Opera and OperaModa, took place on October 5th, 2012 at The InterContinental Hotel, downtown Chicago. This event featured up and coming designers in Chicago, and singers in ACO upcoming productions. It was a benefit for the Merit School of Music and American Chamber Opera. Karrah Cambry is featured wearing a dress designed by J-Na Couture! Summertime Remix was produced by Jonathan Cambry.
